Review: Does the job! Am I missing something here - We started a kitchen extension in May. Builder was doing a great job. He built the shell quite quickly and then disappeared (with our money..) Police report filed, bank is also aware and are trying to get some money back. While this was ongoing, the kitchen was on pause for 2 weeks in the hopes he would return. We were told by several people who recommended him that this is unlike him and he would be back. After learning he fled to his home country, we found some new builders (again recommended). They were great at the start, worked from 8-4 everyday sorting out electrics, plumbing, floor tiles etc.. All that remains is to fit a new electric unit and fit the actual kitchen. Since yesterday, new builder is not answering his phone. We have tried calling him from another number and phone goes straight to voicemail. Payments are made according to a contract signed by builders and us. Husband is regularly checking up on work. What are we doin
